Weather at Cullaun Lake
Data from our weather station will soon be online.
In 2022 the club Installed a Wi-Fi Weather Station, a solar powered ultrasonic anemometer measuring Wind speed, gust speed, and wind direction. It also measures outdoor temperature and humidity. Rainfall rate and totals for day, week, month, and year will be collected with a self-emptying rain gauge. It also records clubs indoor environment.
The station will be use as a teaching aid for the weather module which is part of our accredited Adult and Junior training. The live and historical data will be available to local schools for teaching on STEM projects. Data will form part of an online network of sites like Weather Underground. And the plan is to join Ireland's (world of weather) WOW weather network
Access can be made when at the clubhouse by selecting (GW1000A-WIFI24AD) after searching with your phone for a new WIFI signal . Download the WSView app from google (android) or the WSView App IOS (Apple) and follow the instructions to connect to the Club Stations Gateway in the clubhouse
